> IMPORTING ENGINEERING DATA...
The leap from industrial engineering data to a realtime VR application is notoriously difficult. Heavy CAD models (STEP or other formats) are built for manufacturing precision, not realtime rendering. My CAD-to-VR pipeline solves this exact problem, transforming multi-million polygon assemblies into sleek, game-ready VR assets.
I specialize in hard surface modeling in Blender and Plasticity, taking raw CAD mesh and intelligently rebuilding it. The process involves identifying critical curves, stripping internal non-visible geometry, and generating a highly optimized retopologized shell.
Once the CAD data is optimized, I apply advanced PBR (Physically Based Rendering) texturing workflows utilizing Substance Painter. By baking high-poly CAD vertex normals down to the low-poly VR asset, the final model retains the exact millimeter-perfect look of the original engineering file, but runs flawlessly on a mobile Quest headset or in a web browser via React Three Fiber.
Whether it is an offshore drilling platform, an automotive engine, or complex factory machinery, my CAD-to-VR conversion ensures your industrial visualizations are both beautiful and performant.
